Their pants are too short for this decade, or anything that came after Gidget for that matter, but the songs are fun and a little reminescent of that 50's surfer pop from the days of Sandra Dee. With a sound that is a little bit of The Cure and some modern punk influences combined, they still highlight the basic chords of 50's surfer fun, just with weirder lyrics such as "You were my best friend, and then you died." Albeit I'm a little creeped out, but their other songs are slightly less bizarre but still catchy. If you like it, come by and see them playing with Surfer Blood this Wednesday at the Loft, check out the events section for more details.
